Broken MonarchThe night wasn't intended to go like this, then again, it never was.
No, she had planned on finishing her tea, giving Jack a good night call just to annoy him, and then heading to her comfortable suit to fall asleep in her parlor, perhaps while listening to music.
Instead, her husband had come home.
He had come home wanting her in bed with him... God, why couldn't she do it? She had married him, right?
It hurt her to know she was with him, so she closed her eyes and made believe it was someone else. Jack Noir.
Though it was never smart of her to think this way of her Archagent, sometimes she found herself unable to think any other way.

"Fuck you!" And with that, Spades Slick hung up on his crew mate, Diamonds Droog. He slowly walked up to the frosted glass window of the knife shop, eyes scanning over the display. Man! These knives were great for stabbing... but the cost... Sucking up his pride, he turned to go home and get started on the one-person-christmas-dinner.

Okay, so he didn't cook. Actually, he decided against it because he didn't want the shit from his crew

His girlNo, he did not want to go dancing again with his crew.
And yes, he had told them that. But they insisted he go out and find himself a lady. Only problem was, No lady in the bar could ever compare to the lady who filled him to the brim and over with sheer hatred.
Yet, here he was, leaning against the bar and watching his men have a good time. The ladies tried to talk to him, but he gave each one the finger and an angry face. No, he was not in the mood for their company.
And for the nights afterword, Spades Slick would accompany his men to the same bar and watch them have a good time dancing and drinking. No, he was just never in the mood.
